Bored of your whey? Here are 5 fabulous protein recipes, courtesy of Alaina’s Healthy Eats.

Protein Brownie Batter

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons oats (10 g)
1/4-1/3 scoop vanilla whey protein (15 g)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder (10 g)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3-5 packets stevia, to taste
1/4 cup (scant) non-fat plain Greek yogurt (50 g)
2 tablespoons water
1-2 tablespoons chocolate chips, optional

Method:

In a small bowl mix the first six dry ingredients together. Add Greek yogurt and water and mix until a thick batter forms. Microwave for 30-45 seconds, depending on the speed of your microwave. Remove from microwave, stir, and microwave again for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir in chocolate chips if desired.

Protein English Muffins

Ingredients:
2/3 cup oat flour, divided (25 g)
1/3 scoop unflavored whey protein* (10 g)
1 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt

Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Blend 1/4 cup oat flour and all other ingredients until batter is smooth. Divide the mixture evenly into two cup-sized Pyrex bowls that have been sprayed with cooking oil. Top with the remaining oat flour. Bake 8 then broil until slightly browned on top. Remove to a cooling rack and split the English muffin using a knife.

S’mores Protein Ice Cream Bars

Ingredients:
Crust:
1/4 cup oats (20 g)
1 scoop vanilla whey protein* (30 g)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4-6 packets stevia, to taste
Ice Cream Filling:
2 scoops chocolate whey protein* (60 g)
1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (20 g)
1/4 teaspoon salt
10 packets of granulated stevia
2 cups unsweetened cashew milk
Topping:
1/2 recipe of Protein Marshmallows

Method:
1. Crust: Preheat oven to 350°F. Blend all of the crust ingredients until oats are fully chopped, ingredients are completely mixed, and a thick dough forms. It may be necessary to scrape the sides of the blender several times. However, do not add any extra water. Spread the dough across the bottom of a greased 6-cup rectangular Pyrex dish. Bake for 4-6 minutes, until dough begins to firm. Remove from oven and let cool.
2. Ice Cream Filling: Combine the first five dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the cashew milk gradually, stirring continuously so that the dry ingredients fully incorporate into the liquid without clumping. Pour everything into an ice cream maker. Use the ice cream maker according to manufacturer instructions.
3. Once the crust is completely cooled, spread the ice cream evenly across the crust. Top with marshmallow shapes.

Mini Protein Brownie Bites

Ingredients:
1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein* (15 g)
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (15 g)

8 packets stevia, to taste
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt (56 g)
2-4 tablespoons water

Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix the first 5 dry ingredients together. Add the Greek yogurt and enough water to form a thick batter. Pour batter into the cups of a greased mini muffin pan. There should be enough batter to fill 12 cups to 2/3 full. Bake 15-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in it comes out clean.

Birthday Cake Protein Ice Cream

Ingredients:
1 scoop vanilla whey protein* (30 g)
1/2 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
1/8 teaspoon salt
8 packets of granulated stevia
1 cup unsweetened cashew milk
1/2 teaspoon butter extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon sprinkles (4 g)

Method:
Combine the first four dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the cashew milk gradually, stirring continuously so that the dry ingredients fully incorporate into the liquid without clumping. Add the extracts to the milk mixture and pour everything into an ice cream maker. Use the ice cream maker according to manufacturer instructions. Once the ice cream is made, top with/mix in the sprinkles. Enjoy!
